i quit smoking 3 years 4 months 5 days and 3 hours ago, but i dont want them anymore.
-
alright i'll sell of all of my stock and just go nuts cause Black2003SS told me to. and when they commit me they'll understand I cant afford the $8200 MTI quoted me but i am hoping to get one soon
-
yeah thats what i want is to run a 6.0 system with a magnaflow X Pipe and then dual magnaflow mufflers out behind the rear tire on the passenger side
-
Ok i was just worried i was gonna be driving around sounding like a whistle all day long. i know they are loud as hell under full boost. That sound sends chills up my spine. its amazing.
-
alright honestly how loud is the radix under normal driving conditions like 0-3000 rpms. is it noticable that it even exists. now i am talking the stock pulley not the 2.9 or 3.0
-
Ok well i am gonna buy a set of dynatech supermax headers BUT i want to know if the 6.0 System will fit my 5.3L i dont see why they wouldnt but i want to switch my exhaust to a dual in dual out Magnaflow to eliminate the Y-pipe in the factory system. and then i can transfer them to the new motor later. will this work or am i asking for problems
-
Damn Schmids i can't get away from you anywhere
And no i still dont have the 3.73's installed. i have to find someone to drive my ass out there at 7:00AM and then drive me back when its ready. and i have to decide if i am gonna get a new eaton POSI or not.
And plus once i drop 8 grand on a maggie and 2 grand on headers. another 2 on a cam and converter and $500 on trans upgrades i could have had my motor. but i have decided that i am prolly gonna hold off on the motor for a while and do a cam/converter and long tubes for the time being plus i am trying to get in touch with Zippy on a shift kit but i cant seem to get him to respond.
BTW Schmid where in ohio are you cause i am gonna be up that way in may

i get my tax return back next week and i am moving some cash around cause i am gonna try to do the motor and the FLT Level V at the same time. I have to pay 70% up front on the motor so i am imagining around $7500 with tax and 30% upon delivery. Plus i still dont know what MTI is gonna Charge me for install and tuning. So hopefully in the next 2-3 weeks i am gonna order it and then it is about a 4 week build time so i am guessing may before i am running. but it may sit for a month cause i am going on a road trip in may and i want the mileage out of the 5.3L

Sorry i dont know to horribly much about rear ends. so the 14" SF will bolt up no problem??? can i use my Drums with custom axles
-
Well i was at the dealer today picking up some of those little plastic lug nut caps for 5 bucks a piece and i got a price on a 12 bolt housing out of a 2500HD Gas the 10.50in Ring gear and the bare houseing is just under a grand and i was gonna buy a junk yard axle and rebuild it but if i can start with a fresh axle why not.
My question is, I am having moser make me 6 Lug axles for it so i can reuse my stock wheels but can i use my stock drum brakes on this axle or am i going to have a brake system nightmare on my hands. i am prolly going with an eaton LSD and 4.10 gears with the moser 33spline axles. but i really want to keep my stock drum brakes cause i like them and i want a completely stock look.
What do ya'll think???

I really dont like to fight either but i will if confronted.
I have a great example of how ignorance leads to misunderstanding. I was suspended from school for 2 weeks for the using the word "Niggardly" in a paper. Now the meaning of that word is "1. reluctant to give or spend; stingy; miserly. 2. meanly or ungenerously small or scanty: a niggardly tip to a waiter.
–adverb " So i used it to describe Scrooge in a self interpretation of "A Christmas Carol" The teacher Fliped and i was suspended until i could prove to the administration that i was not using it in a deragatory sense. Ignorance pisses me off sometimes because i then had to make up a week of work.

I stumbled upon a group of skinheads a few years back walking home from work and they werent going to mess with me but i wear a necklace around my neck with a star of David that was given to me by my great grandmother. because she always reminded me that i am Jewish and shouldnt apologize for it to anyone. So anyways one of these kids spots me and they were all no older than 20 and there were 4 of them. One of them walks up to me and rips it off my neck and spits in my face and it was on. we got into one hell of a fight. Keep in mind i am 6'5" and nearly 300lbs. i had had 4 broken ribs a cracked jaw a 2 broken toes a mild concussion, a fractured left arm and a dislocated shoulder and spent three days in the hospital. all four of them spent at least 2 weeks in the hospital each and injuries ranged from broken fingers to a broken back. i got out of it scott free on self defense. they claimed that my force was unecessary and i pleaded that it was 1 on 4 and i had to use any force necessary. but i still walk with a limp and i have 4 screws in my arm and 2 in my ribs. but i got my necklace back and am wearing it to this day.

Looks pretty strong to me. Should be in the 600hp crank range depending on cam selection. The only hting I'm not 100% sold on is the ported and shimmed Oil pump. Isn't there an aftermarket pump that can do the same thing? Or something from an LS2 or something? See if you can do better on that.
The guy at LME told me that the High Volume Pump from GM is one of the best pumps out there so i am gonna stick with it.

If so i call dibs
-
Well i need to know the price before i can say whether or not i can afford it.
-
Well i just got off the phone with LME in Houston. Turns out there like 2 minutes from my house. so they quoted me just over 9 grand for the motor i want. He is e-mailing me a spec sheet and i will post it when i get it. I am psyched.
-
thanks for the find man, i'm calling them monday. are those heads they list good heads??? and how much more stuff would i need to complete this motor. How much of it would swap from my 5.3L until i can afford to upgrade it.
