quickmedic1
Has anyone had a problem with their memory recall for the bucket seats? My wife has a 2004 Tahoe with the same seats that our SSs have. Anyway the seats don't hold the memory consistantly. They my hold for a week, sometimes more or sometimes less. I checked the wiring at the module under the seat and all seems ok. My dealer states they have not seen this before but would look at it if it continues. Maybe zippy has run across this. Thanks in advance for any help. Quick

Thanks in advance for any help. Quick <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have the same problem. I am pretty tall so I have my seat set to go back all the way. After about a week or so I notice that it will go forward about two inches. I took it to the dealer, and they couldn't find anything wrong or any bulletins for this. So I guess it is just something I have to deal with, not really a big deal, but kind of annoying. Dave
edessa
My truck did the same thing. The dealer just reprogramed the BCM and no problems after that. That happened over a year ago.
smit
Mine is doing the same. It moves up about an inch. Not every day. Just once in awhile. Never had it checked with the dealer.
BOB47
Mine does it too. I finally got tired of it so I just don't use that feature. Being that I'm the only one who drives it, I don't really need it.
misterp
yup - same complaint here. Every once in a while it creeps forward just a hair... I'll make sure to have the BCM reflashed as suggested by edessa Mr. P.
quickmedic1
Thanks for the help everyone. My wife always uses the memory functions since we both drive the Tahoe. I will check with the dealer about possably reprogramming the BCM. Thanks again...Quick
dcairns
Sometimes mine does that after I take it to the car wash. I just assumed the guys there were pushing the button too long while cleaning things.
ChevySSandChevy8.1
Have had that problem on my truck too, but it never really gets too bad just about an inch or too every once in a while.
boeman
every now and then my seats will "forget" and end up all the way back with the back upright... doesn't happen often though.
quickmedic1
Well I went to the dealership today and got some maint. done on the tahoe today. They attempted to reprogram the BCM for the seat problem and stated that they could not reprogram it due to it having the current program already in the BCM. I guess I will just have to have the wife disable the easy exit feature and set mine whenever I drive it.
m396 #00-011
I read some where that it was a known problem, w/o a known fix. Typical....your service dealer can't do anything to fix it.
