I modfied the trans crossmember to fit and had a shorter driveshaft built. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Doh! shows you how long it's been since I was under a manual tranny truck, I'll have to look into the details of a hydraulic clutch. What drives needing the 4.56? something about the gearing on the T56 right? Did you have to have a different spline count on the front of the driveshaft to mount up to the T56? zippy Posted April 6, 2005 Report Share Posted April 6, 2005 the 4.56 gear is because of the .5 6th gear. we're possibly doing one here at the shop soon with a friends 4.8 5 speed truck. we'll probably only go to 4.10 gear though to keep driveshaft speed down. thanks for the picture man.
