LSR Mike
anybody top that? Yes. http://www.enjoythedrive.com/content/?id=30183 It's got a 360 though, I guess you can use that as an excuse! Not Production, and a Diesel, I was there when it set the record....360 is not an excuse it falls into the same"C" engine Class, as it's listed in the record book,.It is the Fastest Truck at Bonneville except for Unlimited Diesel by the Phoenix at 272.685 But that is a completely purpose built vehicle, it's in the Petersen Museum now. This thread is/was about the fastest "Chevy"
2drTahoe
So does the 2WD SS have coils in front or is it the K frame like the VHO?
zippy
i'm 95% sure they just use the VHO to make the 2wd SS.
ChevySSandChevy8.1
Isn't the only difference the interior trim, SS cladding on the outside, SS rims, basically a VHO.
CrAzYMoPaRGuY
This thread is/was about the fastest "Chevy" I know..... I think an early 70's Chevy with a big block would be no slouch. I don't think the 454 SS was as fast as some of Chevy's earlier offerings? I think much of the newer stuff is WAY more consistent, while being way better on gas as well, but many old 70's Chevys with 4.10 gears were no slouches. I think the SSS/VHO might be the fastest "Chevy" truck, if the Sy/Tys don't count..? It sure wouldn't be a 454SS in MY books?
