usmcchevyss
I did a search and did not find much info on the power programmers. I was just wondering what your views were on the Hypertech Power ProgrammerIII. Is is worth it or is it just a wast of cash? Are there any benifits to it at all or is it just a small amout of gain. thanks Bryan
zippy
most often the hypertech is just a small gain. i haven't seen anyone use one yet with an SSS. your main gain with the hypertech is from the ability to adjust shift points. at the price of a hypertech you can gain more elsewhere. Z06 DREAMING
Put your money to a custom tune to PCM4LESS, Wait4me, Wester's or something like that. I had the Predator on my Tahoe and it was ok, but have more gain with my custom tune on my SSS.

tawss04
I had the hypertech on my 97 Z71, it worked ok. I totaled the truck and kept the programmer. I called hypertech when they released the SS one, new its about $400 and to have mine reprogammed for my SS is just over $200, I also had a custom tune cartrige for my Z71 for headers and a cam, hypertech said they are not going to do that for the SS. So it would be a waste of money, when I'm ready I'll send my pcm to pcmforless. I'm just gonna sell the programmer to someone with a 96/97 chevy thruck
