SS Option
Well I this has been goin on for about 2 months.. There is some sort of fluid/grease on the front cross member. I have wiped the "greedue" off but it has dirt in it so I cant really tell what coler the stuff is. It is coming from where the diff output shaft and the half shaft bolt together, so it is slung all over the A arm and the cross member. What could causing this to happen, and what is it? ArrivalBlue03
Probably the seal where the shaft comes out of the front diff. Don't know if it is as common as it used to be, but S10's and Silvys in the mid to late 90's had a big problem with this.
oscareltemblo
I had the seal replaced 3 times on my truck under warranty, take it to the dealer and tell them that theres oil spots where you park the truck .
Bowtie70SS
Do you change your own oil? The filter sits partway over the crossmember and I always get some in there, have to douche it out with brake parts cleaner. Just something to consider.
