quickmedic1
4wd should never be used for an aid in cornering... it'll actually destroy the trucks drivetrain to corner in 4wd. The AWD system allows the tires to turn at different speeds as in a turn while 4wd won't. The only time an 4wd system should be used on the street is if the person intends on going in a straight line, when you start getting into the issues of cornering and handling 4wd is not intended for that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Your right in that you can damage the 4wd if used as a handling aid in dry weather. But in bad weather like rain or snow it will help handling without hurting anything. I am not saying it will be a vette but it will handle bends more confidently. Speeds will also have to be kept lower in a 4wd. Sorry for the confusion.
tk68
Don't the 4wd trucks have an auto 4wd button as well? Its not as sophisticated as an all wheel drive but same logic.
