REGULAR CAB SILVERADO SS

Rumors from GMI said that a regular cab SS with nearly 400hp will become available sometime in 2006. Can anyone confirm or deny this rumor? Have not read anything lately. Just checking to see if anyone might know if this might still

be a "go" or if was only wishful thinking about a past rumor? Thanks

As far as GM is probably concerned the Trailblazer SS has took the SSS's spot in their lineup. Atleast thats the what some other rumors have said........

Richard

Thank you for the latest update on my question about previous rumors. I have not read anything about this change in Chevy SS lineup . Just trying to get information from a community that that I thought might have the best and latest info. Scottie

I think thats now officially 653 times someone has started a thread that "GM is going to build a regular cab SS starting in >insert year here<" and it hasn't happened yet.

Thank you for reading the thread title correctly " REGULAR CAB SILVERADO SS".

The only part of the question was if anyone could "confirm or deny" the "past rumors". Nothing said about it going to get built, but a question to this community

about the best and latest info if it was or is going to happen? I think most of us know it has not happened yet. Thanks for all of your useful info and help. Scottie

I don't think Dylan meant anything by what he said.

Hell, you've been a member longer than most of us regulars, surely if you've been on here much you'd know that it has been asked many times. He was just adding some humor to it.

This is the last time I heard anything about it

"...Reading between the lines, it means that an even more powerful engine may become available in the Silverado SS soon and that the LQ9 will be offered in other Silverados. One online source says GM is looking at an engine with nearly 400 horsepower for the Silverado SS as well as offering it in a regular cab, shortbed configuration."

I think it was gminsidenews he was refering to.

Ran across this while I went to look at the old article

Thanks 2drTahoe, the GMI rumor and the pickuptruck.com article was exactly

what I am asking about. I have not seen anything anywhere lately, just thought

if any news has leaked out, this community might have caught it. I can see that

I am not the only one "STILL WAITING". I saw the RST (Jon Moss) truck. He seems to be a fan of the rcsb platform. Maybe we would not be "still waiting" if he were still at GM. Thanks again, Scottie

i agree that the regular cab SSS thing has been beaten to death on here. if they were going to produce it nobody would have to ask, it would be posted all over the place. the last thing i'd heard about the regular cab SSS is that it's coming, but won't be around until the new body style has been out for a bit.
