According to Lyndon, it takes a day or two to see the true gains as the PCM adjusts to your driving habits. On a wierd note, has anyone lowered their SS at all? I'm not a big fan of changing the ride height, but was curious how a 1-1 drop or 1 1/2 - 1 drop might look like. The last thing I want is for the SS to look cheapened or lose performance, but I won't know until I see it and I don't have the balls to do it. First Impressions Of Wester's PCM Initially: The first thing I noticed was the higher idle, so I knew it did something First Drive: I knew it would take a while for the PCM to adjust so I didn't expect much I drove it hard a couple times getting on the freeway and on some empty roads This was actually good since I didn't really notice a big difference. Then I drove casually for a little while and got on it again from a stop Wow! Definitely a noticeable difference by then. Since I had just got on it I was able to feel the difference. You could really feel the extra power in your pants! Again, like other who have done the same, there is quite a remarkable difference in acceleration at 70mph. Overall, I really enjoyed it. It may still change as it adjusts. OK, it is not a supercharger so that isn't what I felt. But I am skeptical about mods, and personally, I have difficulty noticing any difference after throwing on an intake and exhaust whereas some people say they can feel a difference. After getting on it quite a few times and parking, it still said 11.4 average, so I'm guessing it doesn't make much difference, possibly a small improvement, but I'll keep you posted. Just need someone with some experience with the product before I buy. Aside from that, seems like a lot are coming onboard with the Wester's PCM (I know ridnlow is smiling ). What I want to see is one of the "blown guys", pretty cool category for many reasons, get one and see if there is a diff over the superchips programmer or whatever was used to recalibrate to stock PCM.
