Bought Some New Wheels

Recommended Posts

Well, I finally broke down and bought some new 20" American Racing Torq Thrust ST's for the SS. I wasn't very original in my choice, but I'm kind of a 60's & 70's kind of guy. I have had a soft spot for them every since I first saw them back in the 60's.

I know everyone likes pic's, so here's a not so good one. Once nicer days get here I'll take some more.

Thanks for the comments guys. I've always liked the 5 spoke design and wasn't sure how the 6 spoke would look, but after putting them on, I really like them.

As for selling the stockers, I'm going to hang onto them.

I have been looking at those wheels for a while.   How much did those weigh compaired to the stockers

The wheels were shipped UPS and each box says 39 lbs.

I like 'em too

Must be an old guy thing :dunno: ;)

Matt,

Stock wheels, I believe weigh 38 pounds

Yep, 38 lbs. I weighed one as I was putting them away. Also the box my Torq Thrust's came in weighed 2-3 lbs, which would make the Torq Thrust's weight around 36-37 lbs.
