vdrumright Posted September 11, 2003 Report Share Posted September 11, 2003 I have a 2003 SS and have been reading about modifications. I have a question about the front suspension. I read where some guys are adjusting the front torsion bars to lower their trucks. How is this done? I am keeping my stock wheels & tire and only want to lower about 1". I looked under the truck last night and only saw one adjustment bolt at the rear of each bar. Is this the one that they are adjusting? If so, do i turn it in or out? Also, should I have any concerns about the tire damaging the fender if i hit a pot hole if i lower it? Any help will be appreciated Vince Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Silvsteve Posted September 11, 2003 Report Share Posted September 11, 2003 You loosen them. Turn them out I guess. You should see more bolt if you are lowering it. I'm still considering dropping it this way instead of the GroundForce kit. Not sure how flipping the leaf spring will look, still waiting for pictures.
