TurbochargedBerserker
If you are a big guy at all, upgrade like Matt said... Coming home from germany one time, my flight got canceled like 3x and I finally took what ever they had... Berlin to London was fine, but I got on the packed flight in London to a nice bulkhead seat... cool I thought. Then I saw a guy walking up the aisle and grimacing a bit. He was about 6'5" and 320 or so (football player build like me). I'm 6'3" and 290 at the time. We kinda squeezed into the row and joked about it being the big man's row... Then the third guy showed up. He was 6'9" and 350 lol. We had to take turns leaning forward so all of our shoulders could fight in the row at once... It was 11 hours. I spent about 9 hours standing in the galley lol.
BenKey
What part of Japan? Tokyo?
Bowtie70SS
I've been to Korea and back twice...if you can't do first class, ask for a seat in the emergency exit row. There's lots of leg room there I'm 6'6 and I thanked God for it on the 10 hour flight. It was wierd it got dark and light twice. When I got home if I remember correctly it was the same day like 2 hours before I left. I don't know about Japan, but if it's like Korea listen to the previous advice about being too nice. Figure out an Alias and have some fun in the bars. You could use your porn star name which is Your first pet's name+mother's maiden name LOL Dave
SS--BLOWN
You could use your porn star name which is Your first pet's name+mother's maiden name <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Or you could use your drag queen name, which is your first pet's name and the street name where you grew up. I'm "Duffy Champine," and I approved this message. Seriously, what is it with being friendly? I am going to Tokyo for the first time next March, so share some stories. Sounds cool in a weird way. mwarren
What part of Japan? Tokyo? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I flew into Nagoya. Got here at about 6:50 their time...about 5:50 AM my normal time. It was a long and uncomfortable flight. I tried to sleep as much as possible but did not get many Z's. I feel like I am in a cramped cracker box. Everything is small and the people talk way too damn fast (not that I would understand them talking slow!!). I am watching Sportscenter right now with English in the back ground...damn this is weird. I cannot wait to get back home. The food has already tore me up but the beer (my first purchase is not that bad). Oh yeah, I forgot to mention these people smoke like freight trains. I will more then likely come back with Black Lungs
SS--BLOWN
Congratulations on a safe arrival! The worst part is over--the flight back won't be as bad. Make the most of it and take a lot of pictures! If all else fails, give up on solid foods and just drink beer. Michael

Michael <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is what I told one of the Japanese guys that came over with me...I told him the meaning of beer 30....the corruption has begun. It is 4:30 in the morning and I am wide awake. Went to bed at 12:30 PM and had enough beer that I thought I would sleep...guess I was wrong. But at least they gave me a rental cell phone that I can call to the states with. It is nice to be able to call someone you care about and can understand during a conversation. ChevySSandChevy8.1
I've travelled a lot and for the 4+ hour trips buisness class or first class is definately a must. Otherwise you feel very groggy and stiff after those damn flights. I personally liked Japan, it was quite interesting place to be. Have fun
