fox_forma
Just like the title says, is there another horn fro maybe another GM vehicle that doesnt sound so stupid? I'm not trying to put train horns on or anything but apparently people are driving worse and worse each day and I'm getting sick of the sissy sounding horn out trucks have. I think my street bike horn was louder and more manly. You would thing we would have something a little more bad ass but I guess not. I have searched around but all the suggestions say train horns which i dont want to do.
BlackSS04
That would be a pretty good idea to get a mean sounding horn. I never use my horn though, unless someone really does something stupied. Then I lay it on em for about 5 seconds.
desrtrat
what we use to do, way back in the day, was go to a wrecking yard and find a mid 60's caddy, and take all 4 horns and mount them. sounded good...

fox_forma
train horn!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You should check out www.Horblasters.com for a serious horn. Install one of these babies and nobody will think your a girlie <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I dont want anything that needs air tanks or any of that crap, just a re-wire of something stronger possibly. I did state that in my first post if i recall
04CHASE
i know but a train horn would be bad ass. there may be something with a little more umph but anything much bigger is going to require some more wiring and/or air tanks. fox_forma
One thing is many other trucks out there have stronger sounding horns so I was thinking maybe something from another model will somehow work. With our horn it feels like I should be wearing a pink sweater, have a small terrier on my lap and a rainbow sticker on the back window everytime it gets used
Lefty
Just a thought...buy another of the same horn already in the truck and wire it in series with the existing horn. A couple guys on the Solstice forum did that with their horns and said it was a mjor improvement. Jonmalibuss
I don't know about these new horns because I have never taken a look at it but I know on a lot of older electrc hors there was an adjustment screw and you could actually change the tone of the horn just by messing with that screw. dcairns
Now that sounds like fun, have the wife leaning on the horn while you stick your head under the hood to mess with the screw to adjust the tone better buy some earplugs first
zippy
There is a low note and a high note horn on there. You could just replace the high note with another low note. Who really uses their horn that much though???
