ericwf
it runs 25 to 30 degs cooler than than the stock fluid!!! Took it to the dealer last Sat, had them do the WINNS(??) flush and put in Amsoil tranmission fluid! I took 5 gals and it all went in!! I know what the manual says, but the mechanic said it took it all!! I'm going to check the level again this weekend.

ChevelleBoy
Dealer give you any flack or were they impressed with your choice in lubes?
BenKey
Cool, I like the places that let you bring in your own. For you loyal Mobil 1 guys out there, Mobil 1 makes synthetic tranny fluid also. You might find it hard to get though, without ordering.

Part of the shift kit/ Tq convertor install on Fri. ;)

ericwf
Dealer give you any flack or were they impressed with your choice in lubes? No problems. The mechanic didn't know Amsoil had tranny fluid, but he had no issues with it! Service rep (who I've worked with for 3 years now) thought it was fine! BenKey
WINNS is just the brand name of the company. Their macine that services the tranny, I believe, hooks up to the supply and return lines and completely flushes out the old and pumps in the new, all 12 qts of it. They have a service for an engine flush too, I think.
