Holty
My front differential rear seal is leaking right where my yoke for my front driveshaft is. F*cking thing leaked all over my LC-1. Has anyone else had this problem? my truck only has 30k miles on it. what a pain in the ass. if only i had a friend with a lift it would make the job so much easier (hint hint wkdivr). perk03z06
Wow ... that's odd. I had 62K on mine, and it never leaked ... front diff. just made that grinding noise when I turned ... Got new seals when I had the diff. rebuilt ...
misterp
misterp just had the same problem i saw it when i was helping him put his transmission in he had 48000 miles. The dealer replaced the seal in mine on goodwill warranty; I'm sure as you have well under 36K your dealer would probably do the same. Mr. P. Hankg42
I just changed the front diff lube last week, as per Mr. P "How-to". I have about 31K miles. Have no leaks. Also, I'm one of the lucky ones with no front diff noise either!

Holty
i doubt the dealer will warranty it, they are a bunch of assholes there. plus they know my truck is highly modded and always give me a hard time even was i was under warranty. I only have a few mild mods, and I drive it like an old lady. I bought an extended warranty thru July 2010 or 57000 miles, so if something breaks, I sure hope to hell they will fix it! What could you be possibly be getting at? I just looked in the service manual, it shouldn't be too hard. Just got to find a time to do it. Supposed to do 03sierraslt's headers tomorrow, Martinsville Cup race next week.

hot rod truck
I had mine replaced twice and it continued to leak. They finally replaced the seal (3rd time) and the yoke (slight groove) under warranty at about 43K
kmsss
Had mine replaced at 36K, they screwed up the pinion depth and it still leaked. Got a brand new diff. out of the deal, new one just as noisy as old.

Bowtie70SS
I think they make a saver seal kit for that don't they? Where you get a thin metal sleeve that goes over the pinion and gives the seal a new surface to seal against. Did you ever change your diff fluid? I wonder if that has anything to do with it? Mine has 75K on it no leaks no grinding and I'm lowered. Guess I'm lucky in one respect. Dave
