Video Of Electric Car Vs Ferrari Vs Porsche

Thats pretty stupid to waste $150K building a piece of crap electric go kart just to run 11sec in a 1/4 mile and be able to say that you beat a ferrari and carrera gt. Id rather spend $150K to be able to say I own a ferrari

Exactly...and for about $20-30K and 300 or so horus fo fabrication time, I could build a much lighter and faster "go cart". We built mini formula F1 cars in college for engineering and took them to a national competition. We were limited to 600cc's and 20mm throttle bodies...but forced induction was allowed! We ran a turbo, made 175hp off of an F4 CBR 600 engine and could pull a 1/4 mile time in the 9's...the car weighed in at about 950lbs give or take + driver. It was a blast to drive, especially because it could pull 1+ g's on the skid pad. The only problem is our dam car always broke down before we finished the comp so we would not place well.

cool idea but its like apples to oranges.

power vs power that thing probably has maybe 300 .

power to weight ratio is the key. 1500 lbs can run 11's all day with minimal power.

now 3000 lbs or for are sake 5500 lbs takes some nutts to go fast.
