today finished up welding my turbo exhaust. im still waiting on summit for my V clamp. i still have to add a hanger to it and tips. next week ill start my 2.5 wastegate exhaust. the wastegate exhaust will follow the 4" till it needs to exit then it will step up to a 4" tip. that way i have the look of dual 4" exiting my truck. exhaust is 4" aluminize mild steel. I know i should use stainless but truck wont be driven in weather since its a toy and not a my DD. maybe down the road ill redo it in stainless

i started reading this thinkin by now everything was old news. and im reading on and im like wait its not done yet! hahaha man that thing looks awesome!

well, after goin through the 9 pages, sick build!

 

looks like you got your compressor housing coated, how did you go about doing that? Better option than the blankets. Any specific reason you went with that greddy BC? I'd go with the HKS EVC 6 if I was running anything similar to that setup

I do have a turbo blanket just it wasnt on the turbo in thos pics. for the coating thats just HI-High temp black paint. i think its from DEI. i put several coats on it. if it holds great if not ohwell. i did it so wouldnt keep rusting.

 

as for the EBC a member from a local shop referred that to me. he had good luck with it so im gong to give it a try.

 

and thanks for the kind words. i do take pride in doing all the fab work myself

oh ok. yeah I wouldnt put too much faith in the high temp on your compressor :D

 

Not only can you take pride in doin the fab work yourself, you also save a bunch o' cash!

alright guys some clean final pics. last few days just been banging out the little things. taking today off to go racing then back at the little things tomorrow. So far waterpump works, 02s read, Fans work, 40psi oil at cranking. no leaks so far.

looks nice man , your almost there. what engine are you using right now?

 

also arent the fast intakes not so boost friendly? i thought after about 10 psi they were known to or have exploded.

the midgit ls motor for now

lookin slick there Quik. I am anxious to see the numbers with this setup. So do you think you'll be in the 10's with this??

 

btw: is that a lengenfelter launch control i see??

LPE 2 step yupp....as for times no idea honestly. Id like to run a clean 11 then go from there. right now i just want to enjoy truck again.
