SSminneapolis
recently i noticed that the slump in my acceleration has gottan worse??? off the line it us usual to be a little bit sluggish - torq management my guess...but now it last all the way to 30-35mph... it really has only been happening since it got cold as hell - right around 0 or below...so i am not sure if it is becuase of the weather or if it is the tranny...after a good warm up period it still tends to be sluggish... once i get up in speed there is not problem...the nice cold air really adds a little jump to the downshift...but it is the low end that i am worried about... i'll beat it up a little tomorrow to see if anything changes...it is supposed to be above 0..possibly even 15 if were lucky - that may be all i need... but if anyone has ideas...let me know... ssminne
BenKey
Just curious what temps you see for your tranny just as you are parking after driving for while? Fluid levels?
SSminneapolis
fluid levels are good...temps are just about the 100 mark..usually never goes above 1 or 2 hashes above...
Nightshift
I'd be sluggish if I was in below 0 too. WW
zippy
i believe that's in the programming. remember that as you push on the throttle, it's the pcm that decides how far to open the throttle. also shift points when it's cold are much different. mwarren
If the SS is set up like my old '00 Silverado the tranny shifts different until the engine and cab heat up. Mine did the same thing, this morning, with the outside temp around 11...I was even moving slow.
marc_w
Yup, the funny shift points are perfectly normal...
m396 #00-011
I'm with the rest, it uses different shifts points based on temp. I also notice that my lockup on the TQ convertor doesn't happen for a few miles either.
