Wow this is a looooong thread.

 

Very Cool of you, Zippy, to help everyone out like that :flag:

 

Anyway, just wondering if any of you have a copy of your "build sheet"?

 

When I bought my truck the Dealership printed me out a copy, very cool info!

some of it was:

 

it shows all the option codes and definitions, build date, build plant, what dates and times specific vehicle components were scanned for a process or assembly, and what the source plant was for that process or assembly component.

 

for instance, my Truck was built at the Pontiac, Michigan plant, the Engine was built at the Romulus, Michigan plant, the Transmission at the Ypsilanti, Michigan plant, etc. etc.

 

Just thought I'd throw that out there since alot of people seem interested in this type of thing :thumbs:

can you tell me exactly what the whole vin means? if not than just the build date please?

btw, that 3.42 gear can't be much fun.... :confused:

oh yea.....LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it cept i got upgraded gearing 3.55or somthing like that

 

 

it shows it had a 3.42 from the factory, if you only upgraded to a 3.55, you didn't go far enough with that 4.8. you need a 4.10 in there.
