SilveradoSS04
I just spoil my vehicles My wife tells me that all the time. I use royal purple, a k&n oil filter, and I still change it every 3,000 miles. I also use premium. My Impala SS calls for it, but my silverado doesn't and it's not even very modified. jrock80
My dealer told me to wait 12,000 miles before I switch to synthetic, the service manager said everything needs time to break in. Is this true? I was also curious if it would hurt it to change it early. Every other new car I had said to change the oil at either 500-1000 miles to clean the engine out of any metal particles left from manufacturing. Is this not the case with newer cars and trucks? My 2003 Accord EX V6 explicitely stated this in the service manual.
