IndySilveradoSS
So since it was nice here in Indy for a change, and I had a few hours with no chores from my wife, i figure I would finally start on some things I wanted to do to my truck. I washed her Fri. afternoon, and Saturday I waxed her. Then I thought I would take the bowtie off and black it out. So after an hour with q-tips and acetone, my bowtie was clear, scratched(not by me), but clear. I also thought I had grabbed the can of gloss black paint, not untill after I had already taped the front off, and sprayed it did I realize that is was flat black !! So, I put it back together and put it back on, it doesn't look horrible, but I will be getting a billet one and it will be powdercoated along with my wheels. I talked to a buddy today, who has a buddy, who can do my wheels for $100...score!! so I'm going to take him the 5 billet grill pieces, and my billet bowtie to be powdercoated black. Then it's on to the headlights, and darker tint on the windows..It's small start, but a start nonetheless. Also did the amber drl upgrade, awesome, looks a helluva lot better then white. raidaz4lyfe
I think that looks real good man... in my opinion the flat black pops more because the gloss black seems to blend in with the black cross bar on the grill... either way blacked out is the way to go... keep up the good work!!
