slimsoftball
BenKey did his himself and said it was a pain in the butt. I was going to do mine myself but changed my mind. I was going to have my trans built anyway, so I will get them to throw in the TC when they do it.
BenKey
It's a pain, but mainly because I did it in my driveway. If you have access to a lift, I don't think it would be too bad. To get to the bolts at the top of the bellhousing, I dropped the tranny crossmember and let the tranny drop down some, with shafts removed, of course. After you do that and get about 8ft worth of extensions, just kidding, you should able to get them. You will need a few different extension combinations, though. It is fairly doable in the driveway, or garage. You should get someone to help you though. Some pretty heavy stuff to deal with.
zippy
i agree, it's do-able at home, just not by choice. long extensions to help and draining the fluid before you drop it down helps keep the mess down, but other than that it's just a few four letter words and a grunting here and there that'll get it done.
