Intake And Plugs?

Recommended Posts

hey guys, picked up my new AFE intake today and when I did the guy behind the counter was telling me that I should drop the heat of my plugs by a step and drop the gap on them by 1 thou. He said truck will run much better and be much better on gas by doing this.

Has anyone here ever heard of this or is it crap?

Don't listen to him, the only reason you would need to drop down a step in the heat range of your plugs is if your are running FI(blower/turbo) or are spraying Nitrous. I would stick with the recommended gap by GM also.........
