Went To The Track And Not Happy

got the new cam installed and tuned , a/f is around 11.5-7 the truck felt good till i made it a dual 3" xpipe with 2 magnaflows and the truck felt weak, i thought it was just me , well took it to the track yesterday 12.1@112mph with a 1.77 60ft , thats was best all motor .then gave it a 100 shot nos pass 11.6@120mph 60ft was 1.74 , same times as the gt2-3, what can be wrong ? do yall think the exhaust is killing me?

mods are 6.0 radix mp112 2.8 pully full bolt on 36k pi patriot stg 2 heads hp tuned 3.73's true track and cal tracks

Tell us more about the exhaust; what configuration did you have before vs. now?

 

ALSO, since you went to the track, post your entire timeslip, if you have a before/after comparison that would be helpful too.

 

That cam has a LOT of exhaust duration, it may have been purpose-designed for a more restrictive exhaust.

What are your shift points? That new cam must have a high power band which most likely puts the little 'ol 112 way out of its efficiency range. Your new cam most likely shifted your power band into the mid 6k's easy. With the 112 on a 6.0, a high powerband is not the ideal set-up IMHO.

 

I would try increasing the pulley size, retune! and shift higher.

6600 rpm are my points but if i put a bigger pulley wount i lose power cuz im making less boost

yea wey try that crank pulley it should wrk bttr and idk still seem like too much cam imo the one i have is a 228/234 588/598 with a 115+3 this is a very good cam but first get that y bak in there try it out and lets see wat it does
