AmesSS
Does anyone know where I can buy Taylor 409 plug wires? I've tried speed-eng.com, but their shopping cart is broke. I'm having trouble finding sites that sell these.
boeman
I've searched... the only places I know of to get them besides speed-eng.com are local shops...

AmesSS
Thanks for the links. These look like good places to buy parts from (good to know). But they seem to all have either 8.5mm or Thunderbolts. I was really looking for the 409's. They are pretty close to Thunderbolts, but available in red
slimsoftball
Cool, I didn't know that 409's were actually a model of wires. thought it was the size (10.4mm = .409in). Your right though, wish they came in red.
rdss
Just use a little spray paint and they will be red!!

You can see them both here: http://www.taylorvertex.com

pirate#3
Just an FYI. The ones for LS1 cars will NOT work.
AmesSS
Thanks for the heads up. I've been looking for them this morning and it sounds like they don't make the 409's for the trucks. I might have to get the Thundervolts. I did have someone say to get the LS1 wires and I was thinking about it, but I figured they might pop off if they were too short. rdss
Are these wires worth the 80 bucks it will cost for them? On my 89 Mustang 5.0, with a high output coil and Ford Motorsport 9mm wires, it really helped it rev cleaner. Thanks for any comments. C.K. In the GTO it smoothed out the idle a little bit and gave better throttle response. Nothing dramtic, but still very noticable. It's a pretty good mod if you do the plugs also. I'd get the induction kit from Volant first.
