sierra ss
Not an SS. Look at the insturment panel. IMO Edited April 1, 2010 by sierra ss (see edit history)
desertss
read it all, he says the panel was replaced as well, only way to know would be to run the vin i guess. but who would want it with no ss parts
sdimedude
Not an SS. Look at the insturment panel. IMO They said the factory SS instrument cluster was removed. I guess the only way to tell is for someone to check the vin assuming someone didn't swap the dash with a different vin.
KJT13
he said he bought it at auction so I'm guessing it was a theft recovery hense all the stripped parts and the half-ass replacements. Like it was said before, the VIN should tell more...
CTSSS
Repost haha. And yes it is a reall ss someone ran the vin on the last post. Probably a theft recovery
SSThunder
it's got the stock SS exhaust tip and yeah it probably was a recovered SS. not worth the $$$$ or PITA to replace all the SS parts.
Kim
It's funny this post is here. I have a friend debating on getting that truck....if the guy will do some trading. I figure he could get the front bumper and cover, tailgate, and clean off all the adhesive, and it would be a good looking truck until he can get all the cladding together for it. mike1booth
i didnt think they came with tan interior.. that must be one dedicated chop shop to install a rug and the whole
AUTOGUY
8th Digit of the VIN is N. That is the code for the LQ9 Vortec 6000. It has to be an SS based on that. There were no other Chevy Trucks that had the LQ9 in 2003.
Cramer
That was the first thing i looked at.
Bad Bowtie
Well I'm going to have to wave the BULL$HIT flag on this one. It makes no sense to go that far transforming a Silverado SS into a NON-Silverado SS. I'm thinking chop shop or a VIN# switch off 2 cabs. I'd be sure to find a matching SSS vin# on the frame before I even talked money with this seller. A 2003 Silverado SS never came with tan cloth interior either!! This one is trimed out to a "T" with it. We all know the old saying "If it the deal seems too good to be true........."
Rays B4U
Autocheck.com lists it as an SS.
Bad Bowtie
Autocheck.com lists it as an SS. You mean that VIN# says it's a SSS.
f1ss
Fix it to run and itd be a nice dd, the vin and exhaust tip was the first thing I looked at.
