Freshly Zaino'd

Sinister,

Looks great man, does that wax polish off pretty easily or do you have to polish it around in order for it not to look streeked or blotchy. Right now i use Zymol and it looks great when it is done, but a pain in the butt to get off.

In response to the questions - I've got a '02 ZR600EFI and am restoring a '74 El Tigre this summer. I bleed green. The Zaino - it took about 20 hours spread over 4 days. And yes, it is easy to buff off compared to Zymol - that's what I've been using for 10 years up until now, Zaino all the way.

The process -

1. Washed the SS with a pressure washer using normal "car" soap

2. Hand washed all surfaces with Dawn dish soap

3. Went over ALL surfaces with the Z18 Clay bar with a bit of Z7 soap & water for lubricant to remove paint contaminants

4. Cleaned up the clay step residue with Z6 polish enhancer

5. Applied first coat of Z5 + ZFX polish to fill minor swirl marks

6. Buffed off the Z5

7. Applied second coat of Z6

8. Put on the second layer of Z5 + ZFX

---End of Day 1---

9. Buffed off

10. Third coat of Z6

11. First coat of Z2 +ZFX

---End of Day 2---

12. Removed Z2

13. Applied second layer of Z2 + ZFX

---End of Day 3---

14. Buffed off Z2

15. Applied fourth layer of Z6 (the Z6 was beading up on the hood and running off before I could wipe it with a towel!)

---End of Day 4---

16. Applied another coat of Z6.

---Time to get dirty!---
