tonycillo
i am looking to pick up some headers and exhaust. i will be getting longtubes for sure not sure what the gain is from LT v ST but was told LT's are more worth the money.i will be doing all the work myself. also i know it not bolt on but just going to keep it in the same post. i want to get a tune. i dont drive it very hard besides when the occasional slow truck pulls up and revs there engine:) this is my daily driver has 55k miles on it. not sure on what to get or what the best bang for your buck. was not sure if there is a tune i can turn up and down like the juice edge for a diesel. thanks for any info you can give
Pontiac1
LT's are the only way to go if your buying headers.. Shorties are for looks only and little to no performance gains. Depending where your located see if one of the vendors can do a street tune for your truck or if your too far away their mail order tune works great too. I'd go Wheatley.... And there is no turning it up or down. They can tune the truck and give you more power while still keeping it reliable.

They will send you a custom tuned pcm. You unplug yours and plug in the tuned one. Do a relearn and your done. That simple.

Pontiac1
i installed a set like these on my truck last weekend, went in smoothly.. Just make sure to PB Blast all the exhaust mani bolts and o2's a good hr or 2 prior to doing the install and let them soak and reapply.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-07-CHEVY-SILVERADO-1500-4-8L-5-3L-HEADER-YPIPE-05-06-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem2c5413069cQQitemZ190389094044QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

sierra ss
now do those fit the 6.0's dont say they go on a 6.0 They will fit fine. Headers are more less the same for all V8 trucks. Only thing that has to be modded is the Y-pipe.
