DirtySSouth
Hey guys....I was wondering if I could get yalls opinion....I realize this is a very broad question, but for direct bolt on performance that is RELIABLE...Would you guys recommend an STS Turbo or a Radix ? Which gains are better ? Also, how much performance will I be losing with my 26's over stock...i would REALLY like to keep my wheels, if at all possible.....the problem is my little brother has a Toyota with a 5.7L I-Force motor single cab short bed...and it rips and he talks ALOT OF SHIT how my SS will never beat it....I need to remedy this problem ASAP...so what would you guys reccommend....RADIX or STS ? 8 UR HMI
reliability? radix. sts has great power and a lot of fun but with 26 " wheels ur gonna need the low end tq off the line from the radix. any turbo will beat a blower TOP END but for reliability the radix is great. with a custom tune, longtubes and so on u should EASILY walk that pos. huero626
Get a radix supercharger and run your stock 20's, you should beat that 5.7l toyota like nothing.
f1ss
I like the TVS 1900 and 2300, I believe their is one in the for sale section here for a good price and un-used. Great for not killing the mpg's, not stressing the motor out and get great gains depending how hard of a tune you go with.
LSR Mike
a properly sized turbo with a manual boost controller will give you the best performing vehicle IMHO. I vary my race truck from 8PSI to 20 PSI boost depending on the situation, just by turning a knob...
zippy
I would recomend the TVS2300. You can not beat the bolt on and go power level of it. The STS is a very nice setup, but only after many changes are made. Every fast and reliable STS truck has had many changes to it over the stock bolt on and go kit. The Procharger is a very nice setup also, but the piping can be an issue at times and really needs to be changed from how the kit comes for best results. Your 26's will kill alot of power, but nothing a 4.56 gear can't fix to correct for the tall tire height.
