LilEz02 Posted February 21, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 21, 2012 been getting alot done here and there. picked up some parts last week. got the moser rear girdle cover, transgo hd2, 3.73's showed up, billet corvette servos, and big gauge wire for the "big 3 wire" upgrade. went and meet with sinr98. he really helped out alot and just has a ton of info. very great guy to deal with and very knowledgeable on ls trucks. ( thanks again man! ) i picked up a comp 216/220 .525/.532 116 lsa cam, brand new from him, and a yank 2600 stall in great condition. got all my gaskets from GM. i got the trans cooler all ran and ready to mount. we started the cam and spring install last night and just my luck dropped a intake valve on pass side rear cylinder so we had to pull the head. its looking pretty ugly but more gaskets on the way so i can put together wednesday and then prepare to pull the tranny to go to shop. what a adventure. i cant wait to get this thing running and tuned. more updates coming real soon... LilEz02 Posted February 27, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 27, 2012 well last wednesday i got the cam in around 11pm. got the head back on and intake. i planned to stop there for the night and one thing led to another and at 3 am all was assembled except alternator and pcm. trying to decide if i want to atempt to take apart alt. and paint or just wait and get a hi-amp one from summit thats already black. well tonight i think ill pull trans to take and drop off so that can get done. one step at a time. its gonna feel really good to get so many supporting mods done at once. i used one dowel rod on driver side just for safety so i wouldt drop a lifter. had pass head off so just pulled lifters on that side. painting the coils, water pump and p/s bracket made a huge difference. LilEz02 Posted April 5, 2012 Author Report Share Posted April 5, 2012 got the trans out last week and got around to working on it finally. man i need a lift, this sucks working on the floor. got the billet vette servos installed, put in the transgo hd2 shift kit and the 2600 stall converter. last night me and a buddy got it put back in and bolted to the motor. just gotta hook it all up now and tuesday go but the tru trac locker and finish the rear end so i can get it tuned. its been so nice its killing me not driving it. LilEz02 Posted April 12, 2012 Author Report Share Posted April 12, 2012 yea i cant wait to get it out. i picked up a deep trans pan sunday that holds 3 extra quarts. just a summit brand. and finally... bought the last part i needed yesterday... the trutrac locker for the rear. took me a minute to actully go and drop the $450 on it but i know it will be worth it. just gotta put the rear together and contact zippy to inquire about a tune. probly gonna have to go mail order cause i dont have any hptuners or anything like that and its kinda alot to read and understand how it all works. hope a mail order will get me thru the summer till the turbo comes.
