chrisprater
i have a 2003 ss silverado awd. Im looking to put long tubes and a full exhaust ( with cats ). i want it for the performance aspect and not the loud roar of an exhaust. Id like a deep tone but nothing much louder than stock. I like to use mine for a dd. any suggestions? Thanks, Chris Prater

cb2big4u
Leave the stock exhaust on it This is what I was thinking. I don't think anything is going to be as soft as stock.

JC03SS
Stock is your best bet. Whenever you do exhaust work to these truck they get loud. Big mufflers keep these trucks quiet.

Rays B4U
Years back I put on a Flo-Pro 2504 Dual In/Out Muffler. I like it, it's just a bit louder than stock with very little in the cab drone that so many mufflers have.
Numbr3t
Is there not that much power loss with the factory exhaust. I'd like to keep my truck quiet too but I'd like to add headers. I have always used magnaflow and my last one was a 22 inch case and I loved it but that was without headers.
Blown 346
There is a decent amount of power loss with any factory exhaust. The faster you allow air to exit the more power you make. Thats why headers are larger then manifolds and have the primary flow design.
