Stage II: "Will it fit?" Complete

Recommended Posts

For almost a year in my new house I couldn't close my garage door because the SSS was too long. Stage I was BSER roll pan install, had that done last month. Stage II was modify garage wall, completed last weekend. I had to recess a small section of the wall 1". Now when the truck is in with the garage door closed, I have 1/4" clearance in front, 1/2" in back. The things we go through for our trucks.

Thanks guys!

I actually have a lug nut hanging by a string from the ceiling, soon as it bumps the windshield, I'm 1/2" in the front. When I put the E brake on and put it in park, the truck goes another 1/4" forward bringing me to 1/4" in the front. It is so tight I actually had to put tape on the ground too to make sure I'm in straight. If I'm not straight the garage door will hit when it comes down.

Sometimes I do have to get out a few times to check my clearance.

No, I haven't hit the wall yet.

I thought about the padding idea, but if I put padding in, I would hit it.

It is a lot of work, but I don't drive it every day, so I only have to park it a few times a week.
