chrishoekusmc
For almost a year in my new house I couldn't close my garage door because the SSS was too long. Stage I was BSER roll pan install, had that done last month. Stage II was modify garage wall, completed last weekend. I had to recess a small section of the wall 1". Now when the truck is in with the garage door closed, I have 1/4" clearance in front, 1/2" in back. The things we go through for our trucks. Sneakystiffler21
I've seen a guy do that before to make a hole in the wall for the motor for his bass boat but never a truck. Nice work and creativity.

smoothdime
That seems like a lot of work to squeeze it in there
isidroarreola
You should put like some kind of padding on the wall just in case lol.
2001silverado364
How do you know when to stop? Do you have to keep getting in and out to check? That's tight as hell,... literally.

chrishoekusmc
Thanks guys! I actually have a lug nut hanging by a string from the ceiling, soon as it bumps the windshield, I'm 1/2" in the front. When I put the E brake on and put it in park, the truck goes another 1/4" forward bringing me to 1/4" in the front. It is so tight I actually had to put tape on the ground too to make sure I'm in straight. If I'm not straight the garage door will hit when it comes down. Sometimes I do have to get out a few times to check my clearance. No, I haven't hit the wall yet. I thought about the padding idea, but if I put padding in, I would hit it. It is a lot of work, but I don't drive it every day, so I only have to park it a few times a week.
