tayldss
Always wanted a truck when I was younger but at 15 got a 94 Pontiac Sunbird with 3.1L and 94k miles I've used it as my jeep, truck, 4wheeler, racer, etc...now it's my beater and sits at the airport a lot. Once I finished college and the Sunbird hit 200k miles I picked up my 04 SSS with 79k miles on it. The SSS is now at 192k and the Sunbird at 262k - both still running strong! My other past rides consist of an 85 Chevy 1/2ton, 86 caprice (great burnout car for $50), lots of cavaliers, a LeBaron, ford taurus, ford probe w/cage, can't think of the rest but all used for demo derbys and the Tournament of Destruction @ Jefferson Speedway. powell
My first ride, 1994 Mazda B2300, thought it would be cool the shave the handles. Used power door lock motors to latch the door. The first couple cracks at it kept constant power to the solenoid and burnt them out after about a week. Long story short I locked myself out of the truck a couple of times. It was cool while i had it. Then i bought my first Chevy, a 1991 with the 2.8V6 5-speed. the truck had a bad motor. Drove the Mazda back and forth to school and the plan was doing a V8 swap, Dumping it to the ground and painting it and rocking it through college. My budget and scope quickly spiraled out of control. Fun while it lasted. Sold it in Feb of 2012 just before I bought the SS. What it became... 350 out of a 1998 Silverado converted to carb, 650 Holley, T-56, Shaved the body line and handles, 4-6 drop with upgraded sway bars and shocks. Lost interest and sold it for parts to a guy doing a 50's Chevy Build. Then I pumped my Mazda in the ditch, and bought my first full size for something more reliable to commute to school. Sold the Mazda to my neighbors son and started rocking my 2001 GMC. Where it started, 2001 GMC Sierra SL, 4.8L with 3:42s and no options Pulled the pinstripe, painted the interior, added the deck from my Mazda, did an intake, muffler and a tune from Wait4me and eventually welded in a roll pan and painted to match. Also did a full SSBC brake upgrade(pads and rotors), Quartered it a couple of times ran a 15.8 with no tail gate, backseat or spare, with a K&N 77 Series muffler and a Wait4me Tune on 91 Octane. bought the blown Powerdyne and was getting ready to dump some money into it and thennn... The truck got stolen from my school parking lot at 1:00pm on the Wednesday of the week of my final exams of college... with all my books in it! I ended up getting it back after the truck was stripped and some extensions on writing some exams. Sold the truck shortly after with 295,000km and lost some money on it. Bought my 05 Colorado from a local auction. Just did cosmetic stuff to it, Cranked up the torsion bars to level it out, Smoked the tails and head lights, HID's smooth painted black grille off an 09. It was a good truck. I had no intentions of getting rid of it until i saw the SS for sale and couldn't resist. The day before the Colorado was sold and i just got insurance on the SS As the SS sits today... Can't wait until March! After posting all of these I realized i don't take enough pics of my vehicles. haha
