We dont have any highways over 55mph unless you are heading towards anchorage. Then theres a 65mph. Roads arent that great here either. Some crazy mountain passes on the way though that are a blast to drive in the summer. Yeah. Like said above, SSS's are quick in the 1/4mi, but not quite top speed demons.

Haha Joe it's not your stepper motor it's the way you have to drive around here. Doesn't matter what interstate you're on in the Detroit area if your not going over 100mph traffic is getting backed up behind you. At least that's the way it seems anymore.

Well the speed limits on the highways in Oregon are only 55 and 65 in most places on the interstate. I friking hate the speed limits here. I usually do about 65-70. We have a ton of wide open nice highways with little traffic yet its only 55. Our state legislature has voted many times to up the limits but our lovely governors always veto it. Pisses me off

When i was in AZ it was a different story. I use to go with the flow of traffic which was usually about 85 especially on I-10 between Phoenix and Tucson.

As far as top speeds. I have been 120 in the SS which was my max. And i have been 155 in my dads M3 with the top down. It was super scary and i will never do it again.

I'd say +130 mph in some of my other cars. But ive never really been a top speed type of guy. I think the SS has a stock limit of 109mph? And I average about 90mph on my way to work daily on a 70mph hwy, even on my way back home rarely will I do the speed limit back. And when I do, as soon as I start getting near the exit I have to slam on the throttle.
