Tyson1972
Thanks Fireman, what all did you need to do to make it work on our trucks. I have a 2006 ISS, I believe you have a 2006 SS. Both are 2wd from what is on your profile.

Tyson1972
Does anyone know of a tranny company that has a better warranty then 6 months???
Fireman31
Performabuilt has a 2 year warranty, but their product is not what its cracked up to be. Stay away IMO.....
Tyson1972
I found a guy on Craigslist who does transmission's for LS cars and trucks who has a 1 year/ unlimited mile warranty. He is here in North Carolina, close to Charlotte. So I think I may just give him a call for a my future tranny build. I would like to find other shops that specialize in 4L65E's so I can see what else is out there.
Tyson1972
Hey Fireman, who did the tranny in your truck???
Fireman31
This last one was done by a reputable local shop who does high performance work, called Sunrise Transmissions.
Tyson1972
What did you pay for them to rebuild your tranny Fireman.
Fireman31
$1700, a bit pricey for a rebuild, but he put alot of time, effort, and special tweaks into it and made sure it was right before returning it for me....
Tyson1972
Thanks man now I know what the going rate for a good tranny build is.
Tyson1972
I saw somewhere on here that if the speed sensor goes out or is starting to go out that it could make the tranny to shift hard or not shift at all. Has anyone ever had this problem??? I really would just like to fix the problems I have with the tranny to keep it running until I upgrade the tranny to a built 4L65E or a 4L80E.
