Wizard
I finally got my Baer Alumasport brake kit on yesterday......here's some pics: Stock Setup http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/Pso.../Stocksetup.bmp Alumasports http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/Pso...LogoCloseup.bmp http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/Pso...llFrontLeft.bmp http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/Pso...ewithwheels.bmp http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/Pso...sfrontright.bmp http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/Pso...entiretruck.bmp Ordered it from Tbyrne. This kit is awesome. To some people this might seem like too much $, but I can honestly say it was worth it. The red calipers look great with giant 14" slotted and drilled rotors peeking out at ya. The truck stops better than I could have imagined. O yeah I also ordered a procharger. What the hell now that it stops faster I might as well make it go faster. stevebbb
I can't wait to see the pics. The brakes on my SS are just about the only thing I don't like.
Dylan06SS
Cool! Let me know where you're stealing all this money from so I can get my hands on some too! I really can't complain about the stock brakes... this truck stock brakes better than a lot of cars, but theres always room for improvement
BenKey
I forget, did the Alumasport kit replace the lines as well? This kit replaced the stock calipers, right? If so, how many piston? From what I remember from the kit, it sounds like a step above the Eradispeed kit. An improvement for sure, but if anything like the Eradispeed, more of a cosmetic improvement than anything. Just hope they have fixed the problem with cracked rotors that was common with the Eradispeed kits. In fact, the only thing I don't like about the Baer kits is the rotors they use. They look nice, but the quality is just wasn't there. Just keep an eye on your rotors. If the kit didn't replace your lines, then that's something you definitely need to do if you really want to feel a difference. Lines alone are a huge improvement. Wizard
I will post pictures later tonight. The kit does not replace the lines. It is a new caliper, and rotors. I will keep an eye on the rotors. I don't necesserily agree on the steel lines. I know that people swear by them but damn the truck stops instantly now. However, I still might consider it. BenKey
Wizard, the problem with the stock lines is they expand. When they expand, some of the pressure is lost. That pressure is the force on the rotors/pads. They do look good.
