Blown 346
So does everone think my trans will hold up on 10 pounds for at least this summer then next winter I'm gonna get a fully built 80 or Mayb build my 65 Depends on how you drive it. If your beating on it all the time and putting it under loads of stress without a larger trans cooler, only time will tell. Heat is the number one factor that kills transmissions. cleansss20
I have the p1sc procharger running 8-10# of boost. Have a hotwired walbro 255 in tank fuel pump and ls9 injectors with LT headers and I ran a 13.1 in the 1/4. That was with a stock trans with no stall. I have ran the truck about 10k miles boosted with no problem....UNTIL last night and I blew the trans. Now im lookin at swapping to the 4l80e so I will have the peace of mind. I would hate to spend 1200-1500 on a trans and it give out a year or month down the road. Good luck!
