srtSSsvt121
I finally got my dad to look into PCMforless, and he likes what he hears. SO I need a little help from you guys on this ordering stuff. It says i can order the pcm to me , and then send my stock one to them. Why do i have to send them Mine? I am also sorry to say this but, is the pcm right above the floor pedals? Oh and one last thing, when do I tell them that I have intake and exhaust? Thanks to those of you who will put up with my little expertise questions.
DaGeorge
The best thing to do would be call PCMForless and tell him your mods and what your looking for. He programs one of the pcm's he has and sends it to you, so you have to return yours as a core. If you don't I believe its like a $175 charge. The PCM is in the engine bay, to the left of the fuse box.
srtSSsvt121
why would they charge you for not sending one back??? and thanks for the info.
matt rem
Its a core charge, just like other parts. He needs the old pcm to use for other customers, the one you get is reprogrammed to your truck, it could have been programmed for someone else before you. zippy
this question does not go in the tuning section... if you are not tuning yourself, it does not go in the tuning section.
srtSSsvt121
Won't I need the stock PCM for when i take it to the dealership. You can move this topic if you want.
styleandspeed
I would want to keep it, but then you are still going to have to pay the core charge. Many people on here will say don't worry about swapping, because the dealer can't tell anyway, but I like to be really safe.
DaGeorge
If you don't want to pay the $175...... then you have to give him you PCM. If I were doing it, I would want to keep my stock one, although most say it's really not a problem. It's up to you
