I can't remember exactly, but I think my first tank was around 1.05/gallon.. But I do remember a time in 98 or 99 when it dropped all the way down to 79 cents a gallon... I still remember being able to completely fill the tank of my '92 Beretta GT for 11 bucks.. AWESOME. Hmm last fill up for the truck costed me 46 dollars... There's got to be something wrong with this picture. :banghead::banghead:

the gas price when i started driving was $.32 for reg leaded and $.36 for prem. leaded

and you could get 104 octain at the pump for $.38 per gal. :crazy:

for $2.00 in gas you could cruse all weekend and still have some left to get to work on monday ...oh for the good old days :tear:

this would lead us to the conclusion that the cheaper you remeber gas being the older you are... which begs the question:

 

Did they actually have gasoline when zippy got his drivers liscence?  :jester:

Probably not, and all vehicles had ONE horsepower. :jester:

I seem to remember buying gas for .79 when I first got my license back in '84...

now it's over twice that... :sigh:
