zippy
finally found some pics of my favorite project car. i did the majority of the mechanical work on it (can't claim to it all, but most) and certainly miss it. look good?
m396 #00-011
Never have I been a big fan of that body style. Still, that's one sweet ride I would miss it too.

zippy
wasn't mine. a buddy of mine wanted to do a camaro so he bought it as an ex-drag car with alot of rust on it and in around 7 months or so we did a frame off with a few extra's in around 7 months. about 90% of it was done by the 7 month point, unfortunatly, building it that fast ended up costing him more than expected so he sold it. i put about as many miles on it as him. dyno'd at 470hp and over 500 ftlbs. of torque (the torque number i don't recall off hand), idled at 700rpm without a problem, and was capable of around 20mpg. it pretty well did everything i tried to set it up for. rico750sxi
That is one sweet car. I always wanted an early 2nd gen. that I could do the same to. Love the wheels!!
zippy
it's what set the car off i thought. with 17x11's and 17x9.5, it was a tight fit, but came out beautifull.
BenKey
Sweet looking car, Zippy. Engine bay looked awesome, and even the underside was clean and pretty.
SEfromTEMPE
Nice job! I did a couple of '86 Corvettes over the last two years, one for road racing and one for the street - updated both of them with the ZF 6-speed trans. Here they are: And I don't really have any good ones of the street car on file, but here is one I have: Now if only they were worth half of what $$ and time I put into them
