My Sundays currently consist of trying to construct a massive swing set in the backyard that, quite literally, came in 5,000 pieces with an instruction book written primarily in Chinese. My kid will be graduating high school before I finish this damn thing. Augh!!!

When I lived in New Orleans a friend of mine ran over about a 5' alligator on his way to an LSU game. Tore the lower air dam completely off his truck. And he said they watched the damn thing crawl away.

That's what happens when you stare at your damn avatar all day long. The unit runs about $1400. It does not have MP3 storage or an I-pod connection....yet. Look for future mods coming to this truck soon in that department. The only draw-back that I see right now is that it's a disc based Nav unit and it only has one slot. If you're navigating then you can't listen to a CD. Gosh, I guess that means I'll just have to install a remote CD changer. I've posted this somewhere already, but I'm going to post it again, the following is the install guide and it has great instructions on how to properly take the dash apart. If you're doing any kind of wire routing behind the dash you need this manual. You gain full access to everything and can easily route any wire if you take the top of the dash off. Just got this set-up for my birthday. It's the Delphi after-market touch screen Nav unit. Because it's Delphi it's plug and play with XM, Onstar, Bose and my steering wheel controls. I would have to say, without a doubt, it was the easiest stereo install I've ever done. They send you a set of step-by-step instructions on how to take the dash apart to install the unit and the satellite antenna. Start to finish (and I took my good ole sweet time) took me almost exactly an hour. It's a great little unit.

Dumb question but how do you get both the boat AND the camper home? If you say that you just park your boat at your private dock on the other side of the lake I'm going to start throwing things at my computer.

Yep, best teacher in HS was a history teacher, best two professors in undergrad were history profs and best prof in grad school was a Con Law professor who specialized in U.S. history. There's certainly a connection. But saving money and teaching don't necessarily go hand in hand, you'll really have to watch your pennies.

Is that a StreetScene front bumper cover? I like the look with the fogs. I may have to go the same route. I can't find another front bumper set-up that I like.

Don't rain on the guy's parade. Does the "aftermarket chrome Houston" come with "all brackets, etc."? It's been my experience that those aftermarket jobs come stripped. If this comes with all the pads, clips, little annoying bolts and the license plate lights then it's a pretty good deal.

Okay parts gurus, so what's the answer here? I have a bone-stock 2WD 1/2 ton. It's an LS and has the torsion bar suspension set-up. Did GM offer a choice in '04 between springs and bars?

If you're traveling through the backcountry of Louisiana, DO NOT buy any boiled peanuts at the that no-name mom and pop gas station/convenience store. You'll be praying for just the s**ts. You'll be making "hurl" stops every five minutes on the way back. Don't ask any questions, just trust me on this one.

Wow, what drama! I had no idea this went on. I've always liked BellTech, now I know why.

Working on those stock mirrors is a pain in the a**! I ended up putting on a set of the StreetScene mirrors painted-to-match that came with the heated and turn signal option. StreetScene, I don't think, offers the puddle lamps yet. Before I added my current mirrors I priced factory replacements at the dealer. Mirrors of a Denali or luxury Tahoe with the signal-heated-puddle lamp option, at the time, were like $475 each side. And I would still have had to paint the mirror cap to match my truck. The good news out of all of this was the I discovered that most, if not all, of the wiring need to power these options is already present from the factory in the wiring harness in the door, even if your truck didn't come with those options.

Still fugly. Although the concept trucks are an improvement. I miss the S-10s.

Not to keep beating on a dead horse, or something else when starring at a picture of the Hilton sisters...together...possibly naked...but what about the liability? I'm sure that sheriff was sh**ing in his pants when he learned that 'ole 15 Minutes of Fame was heading to his jail. He was likely looking for any excuse to get her the hell out of there before someone made her their prison bitch or smashed her face on a jail house wall. Think of the lawsuits and liability then, all on the tax payer's dime. I blame the lawyers! Oh wait.... BTW, doesn't somebody have the video of her romp in the bedroom saved somewhere?
