First thing in the morning I always give about 5 minutes of warm-up time. Throughout the day if the motor is running at consistent intervals (never sitting for more than say, 3 hours), I'm less cautious and usually will not wait more than 1 minute. My thought process is that most oil leakdown / settling occurs overnight (a period of 8-12 hours). I think that after the motor oil is and hot and not settled in the pan, less damage will occur even if some cooldown has taken place.

If you could tell me exactly what kit you have from zippy, or what parts you have in it, I'd be interested. Or just open it up and take some pictures.

I don't think you're up-to-date on Steve's tranny... That thing has more new parts in it than a Summit Racing warehouse...

This is not an uncommon issue. Several members here have experienced it. If I remember correctly it happens because one of the passenger side climate control actuators has died. Use the search button, you should be able to find a couple threads about it.

The issue here is that Rojo_143 and I both have a tune from the same tuner, and are experiencing the same idle issues. I doubt that we both need to clean our TBs, or even that the symptoms we have are even bad for the motor in any way. I'm not saying that a dirty TB won't cause rough idle, I'm just saying that in our case (myself and Rojo_143,) it is an issue with the tune. Clear things up?

My idles a little funky too (same Tuner here, BTW), RPMs drop a little and the motor shakes likes it's trying to recover. I didn't see it as a big enough issue to complain about, and IMO it's not doing any damage and I've learned to live with it. PS: I'm sure Justin would address the problem if you complained about it.

I would have stuck with the avalanche over the CTS-V, but I'm a truck guy. I'd have both if I could, but if only one it would be the avalanche... Where are the pics of the CTS-V?!

Sensor might be going bad, they usually only last 60,000 miles, but: You have most likely done at least a couple of those things... Time to buy a new Bosch LSU4.2, doesn't hurt anything to replace it...

It looks like your only question is how to power the head unit. I don't know what you've got down there in California AFA computer stores go, but we have RadioShack here in Mass and they sell pretty simple AC to DC converters that give you a + and - terminal. I am planning on setting up a car stereo system in the shop at work and that's my solution.

If you think the door is sagging, it doesn't hurt to just go ahead and replace the pins and bushings. It's not a difficult process at all, just need a buddy or two help out...
