  1. Wait... so this isn't how the rest of the country is? It's funny because it's true...
  2. I know guys have sprayed N02 before the blower, and I know that a bunch of members spray meth before the blower, so I imagine that you'll be fine... I'd wait for a blower owner to tell you what's up though....
  3. WTF? I want heated windshield wiper fluid!! Anyone got P/N's for that system?
  4. I had almost forgotten about this thread... I am so upset this got brought back to life...
  5. OMG!!! Why did you dig this up?!?! Now I'm ashamed all over again, lol.
  6. Sooooooo.... I think at this point it's pretty obvious that I am not "interested in GM's new Hyrbid vehicles" That announcement has been up for several months now... Can we expire it already please and use the announcement feature for something that's actually important? I get the feeling that if you leave that up for so long people get desensitized to it and then when you actually WANT to make an important announcement nobody will notice...
  7. No, but I will be changing the configuration so that the tranny cooler takes up half of the radiator (vertically), the ac condenser takes up the other half (vertically), and the oil cooler (if I keep the external one) will be going on the lower (horizontally) 1/8-1/4 or so of all. I am also pondering adding some more fan power (with the extra depth I'll have from this configuration) behind the tranny cooler and condenser (and maybe the oil cooler too if I go totally friggen nuts). Fans would be wired to independant sensors/switches, duh.
  8. If I didn't have full on custom plans for that area of the truck, I would be in for one. The bracketing that you would be making in this kit would interfere with my ultimate layout... I am going to be replacing the radiator, AC condenser, oil cooler, and tranny cooler with custom ones.
  9. Any tuner who calls himself a good tuner will install the most recent GM OS for the vehicle and then tune on top of that. They will also tune in the vehicles VIN and other information. This way all that's required is for the other modules (including VATS) to learn the new PCM's serial number. More simply, if the PCM is in good working order (even if you have NOT done the relearn procedure), the truck will still crank. VATS will simply shut the engine off when it starts, it will not disconnect the starter (AFAIK). Time to start looking at your ignition switch, IMO. But either way, the money spent on that tuned PCM was well worth it; Once you get her running again you'll be happy you bought that.
  10. If you change transmissions you'll be getting yourself into another little mess (you'll need a different drive shaft, mounts, etc, tuning, etc). Engine swap: Go for it! Upgrade the rear end with a nice locker or LSD or Posi unit and you'll be fine; Unless you're looking for power numbers above say... 600hp, then I would swap to the the larger rear end (and only then if I blew up the stocker first).
  11. You would be MUCH better off buying a locker for your current rear-end. I came up with this after about 20 seconds of searching: http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch.as...k=KeywordSearch It is not worth buying another rear-end and then having to pull two apart, just have your current one modded.
  12. I did mine starting at 10,000. I figure if you do it on a regular basis it's somewhat preventative maintenance. Look at it this way: It doesn't hurt anything to do it.
  13. It will if you get a wideband controller that has analog outs and you feed the Interceptor that information... All by itself (just plugged into the OBDII port), no it doesn't, because the truck itself doesn't. Better off with an LC-1 anyways.
  14. RTFA!!! They're trying to MOLEST YOU!!!! I would recommend contacting a tuner (I prefer Justin @ Black Bear Performance, but to each his own), and buy a computer with a tune already built in. You're looking at $250 for a 2003 PCM with a tune. http://www.blackbearperformance.com/
  15. P0496 : http://www.chevyavalanchefanclub.com/cafcn...html#msg1379378 P0101 : Clean the MAF, and might as well do the throttle body while you're in there....
  16. Make it a good one everybody!
  17. Rotax FTMFW... One of my uncle's just bought 2 of these, he wants me to go down to LBI and ride with him... I'm afraid...
  18. Well first off, after you were done with the wiring you should've taped or zip-tied the wires into a nice little bundle... This way you're only pushing/wiggling one large 'wire' back in the dash as opposed to 1000 small, unruly, wires. I remember hearing something about the depth of the larger double-din units being a problem with that aluminum piece. I think the solution is to cut/snap off that tab. I'm sure an installer will come in here with a solution to that. Speaker pop: It's bad for your speakers. Like Woah. And it's just nasty. To my knowledge, the pop happens because the HU is turning on before the amp. You want them to be on/off either at the same exact time, or for the amp to come on before and turn off before the HU. Which Kenwood did you get? I'll bet that there's a delay for their 5V pre-outs and speaker outs that you can turn on to kill the 'pop' too.
  19. On a 4 lane highway, my understanding is that the far right lane is the slow lane (for slow drivers or people with trailers), the middle two lanes are for traveling, and the far left lane is for passing. Don't quote me on that though. I usually sit in the middle-left lane, ready to get around people.
  20. I might be down for that... Once we get a little closer to the date I'll let you know. Sounds like tons of fun though!
  21. I know what she bought it... It's octane booster... I'm so sorry dude, but you can't compete with that....
  22. I just took my spare tire off in prep for my rollpan, I don't think I'll be needing that jack or the tools either. Umm... put them under the seat?
  23. I would say that's a definite if she reads this site, lol.
