  1. Does any one have the rear disk setup from their AWD SS that they want to sell that have upgraded to aftermarket?? I want to change my '06 to disk in the back & don't really want to spend the money for Baer or the Z06 setup. Also were the stock rear calipers on AWD SS's single or dual piston? If you're asking why I want to do this. I like the look of front & rear disk brakes, plus I like disk brakes better.
  2. I had the factory chrome wheels on it (which I still have). Got tired of keeping them clean & shiny. The new wheels turned out a little darker than I wanted them to be, but I'm still getting use to it.
  3. The paint is 2004 GM Dark Argent Metalic code#WA6282
  4. I've got Belltech 2" drop spindles up front & Belltech 2" drop shackles out back. That's all I did. Left the stock shocks & didn't turn the torsion bars. I'm thinking about painting the scoops to match the wheels.
  5. Hey guys. I got my new custom painted wheels on today. I bought a set from a '03 & had them painted 2004 GM Dark Argent Metalic. They really look sweet! I still kept the chrome ones though. What do yall think? Later.
  6. I see all the threads about the Z06 brake upgrade. Who is making/putting together a complete kit? I would really like to do 6 piston calipers with 15" rotors up front & convert from drum in the rear to 4 piston calipers with 14" rotors. Thanks guys.
  7. This may be a dumb idea, but has anyone ever thought about putting coilover shocks like QA1's on the front of a 2wd SS? I remember someone on here did airbags on a AWD SS. Don't see why it couldn't be done on a 2wd. Take out the torsion bars & install coilovers. Curious to hear your thoughts & opinions. Thanks guys.
  8. I have seen a couple of SS's on here with a small front chin spoiler on the front bumper. Is this a factory opition or aftermarket?? Where do I get one?? Thanks.
  9. Really?? I guess when you go to a bigger cam with .600+ valve lift is when you need the bigger injectors?? What cam are you running? I assume you are using stock injectors?? Thanks.
  10. What size injectors do I need to use with the GM ASA cam, 42lb or ?? GMPP #12480110 ASA Cam .525 lift at the valve intake & exhaust, duration of .226 intake/.236 exhaust, 110 LSA Thanks guys.
  11. Hey guys, It was the only way (at the time) I could figure out where to put the muffler, because of tight space. I used all 409 S/S mandrel bent pipe. I thought it would be louder inside if it were under under the cab, that's one reason I put it under the bed. It is heavy, but well supported & alot of tubing, but it works & flows pretty well. I haven't ever seen, but I heard the pipe is routed like that on Cobra R Mustangs to turn it out the side. I would like to figure out how to shorten the pipe up. 12SROCK, Do you have a pic of under your truck? You have the 18" Magnaflow & I have a 22", just wanted to see how you mounted yours.
  12. Here's some pics of my setup. Let me know what you guys think. It sounds awesome but it drones inside pretty bad, I decided it was because of the side exit. You can see where I passed the drivers side pipe where the driveshaft would be on a AWD truck. I had to turn the drivers side cutout at an angle to make it the same height at the passenger side one. KellyPerformance, I wanted to know about the resonators you used cause I could add some in the pipe where it turns back under the muffler. I would like to & my plan is to remount the muffler like you have (when I see a pic), delete the cats & relocate the cutouts to where the cats are now.
  13. I did kinda think the same thing. The smallest tip is 4" round, that's pretty big. I wasn't as concerned about flow cause I thought you would want a little backpressure. I had thought of the setup using LT with no cats, cutouts right at the header collector, 2 1/2" or 3" pipe turned out the side. The flow prob wouldn't be if you opened the cutouts. lol!
  14. 12'SROCK, Can you take a pic of underneath your truck? That's what really helps. You have a 18" Magnaflow, right?
  15. Anyone thought about how a side exit SuperTrapp system would sound?? Sure would be easy, no muffler to worry about mounting under the truck, cause they are the tips & the are tunable by adding or taking out disks & pipe routing would be easy too.
  16. 1of@kyne, Can you take a pic of underneath your truck? That's what really helps. What muffler are you using?
  17. Holty, Can you take a pic of underneath your truck? That's what really helps. I like how your system looks. What Flowmasters are you using?
  18. kellyperformance, What kind of resonators did you use? I really need to take some pictures & post them here for yall to see. I passed the drivers side pipe on the drivers side of the trans where the driveshaft would be on AWD trucks. I have cutouts mounted right behind the trans crossmember. I think I need to replan my exhaust. There is too much pipe for it to run through. I really want to see some pics of your system since it's the same muffler I have. I think mine is a little bit of a mess & it's really heavy too.
  19. Where did you mount the muffler?? I have a 22" Magnaflow & I had to mount it in the stock location & then turn the pipes with mandrel bent pipe back under the muffler & then out the side at the angle I wanted. The crossmember for the 2-piece driveshaft was in the way of mounting the muffler farther forward. Did you go with a 1-piece driveshaft & cut the crossmember out when you installed the 6 speed? Do you have a pic of underneath the truck when it was on or a pic of it now that it's off?? Where did you mount the resonators? I was curious if you did it different, cause it's alot of pipe for it to run through & wanted to shorten the route if I could. I'll post some pics of mine on this thread when I can. Thanks.
  20. Is there such a thing as plugs/caps for the rear O2 sensor connectors for when you delete the cats & turn the rear O2's off?? To keep dirt out of the connector when the O2 sensor isn't pluged in. I guess you could take some bad O2's & cut the plug off & make some. Thanks.
  21. My buddy that shot the video cilps edited it. He's the one that posted it on YouTube for me. The video was shot 10 minutes before pulling into the tire store.
  22. Here is the link to the video of my Silverado SS burnout. Killin' the old tires. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwURkYQFFzk
  23. Anyone have a set of uncoated or coated Pacesetter LT's they want to sell? I have friend that's looking for some. Thanks.
  24. Do you still have the steering box? I have a buddy that has a '99 1500 4x4 with a bad steering box & needs one, will it fit that?
