Is the in-cab drone worse on the Super 44's or the Super 40's? I don't want the drone to bee too bad. I thought about the Super 44, but they don't make a dual in dual out in the 44. I like the dual in dual out mufflers because it seems to eliminate the need for a H or X-pipe. I have used them before. I would love a stainless Flowmaster system, but they don't make a dual in dual out muffler in stainless just single in single out. Thanks.

I just posted below about the Gibson Super Truck Exhaust system. After listening to those sound clips. I'm thinking about returning it as soon as a get it, unless someone here wants it. It doesn't loud enough to me. I had thought & am back thinking about a dual in dual out Super 40 Flowmaster with the pipes turned out in front of the rear wheel? Has anyone tried the Super 40 on a SSS? Is it too loud inside the cab? What kind of mufflers is chase04 running? I listened to his video on YouTube & really liked it. Thanks.

I've noticed on friends trucks that are around were I live that most have the same exhaust setup that the 6.0 engines are louder that the 5.3 engines. Seems like it to me. I want it to sound pretty loud outside, but not ring my ears inside the cab. What series Flowmaster did he change to & did he leave it side exit? My dad has a 2000 GMC 3500 with the 5.7 Vortec with a 50 series SUV performance muffler, we also have a 2003 Chevy 1500HD with the 6.0 that had the same muffler & it was MUCH louder than the GMC 5.7, we changed the 1500HD to a 70 big block series muffler & it is quieter than it was but still pretty loud when you punch it. Has anyone here tried Gibson #65614 Super Truck side exit exhaust system on their SS? I just ordered it because it was the only bolt-on side exhast system I could find? I wanted a bolt-on system that was stainless steel & side exit & this was it. I guess my question is, how loud is it? Is it really loud in the cab or is it ok inside & loud outside. I hope I didn't screw up & order something that is going to make my ears ring all the time from in the cab. Also what about Gibsons direct bolt-on stainless steel headers for the SS? Thanks guys.

Thanks for the input guys. You have convinced me not to buy a throttle body spacer. I'm going to go ahead & do the AEM cold air intake kit & like one guy said do not de-screen the MAF sensor, I won't. Anyone know where I could get a custom PCM tune in GA? I live 100 miles north of Atlanta, but would go have it done if anyone there does it. Thanks Again.

What is the best brand of throttle body spacer to use or is one as good as the other? I was thinking about getting a #62100 Jet Performance spacer. I'm going to use a AEM Brute Force cold air intake kit. Would it be a good idea to go ahead & cut the screen out of the stock mass air flow sensor with this setup? Thanks.

StevenAz, That's pretty far for me to come, but if I can't find one closer I will for sure keep you in mind. Does the the liner still look good? If I wanted it to look show, could it be cleaned with some soap, water & a brush? What brand is the tonnue cover?

StevenAz, Where are you located? I may be interested in the ProCharger with it. I have someone interested in my truck, just would need to sell it first. Have you used Mobile 1 in it? Is the spray in liner Line-X or Rino? Let me know.

Would also travel if I had to for the right truck. Would like to find one with around or less than 30000 miles. Billet grill insert kit, Lowering kits & brake upgrades would be nice, but not needed. Mods like cold air intakes, performance exhaust, & ECM programers ok, but would also consider mods like STS turbo, Whipple supercharger or Procharger & what is needed to go along with those mods. Don't want any nitrous systems. Would also take it 100% factory stock. I currently have a very nice, probably one of the nicest 1994 Chevy extended cab 4X4 you'll ever find. It's black with 89000 original miles on it, original paint. I want to sell it & get into a Silverado SS. Thanks.

rivierakid, Is yours a true SS? Is the SS available in AWD & 2WD? I didn't know that?? I'm new to all this, so I'm still learning. I wouldn't mind finding a 2WD SS since there are more wheel selections for 5 lug wheels. Would a '03 to '05 grill fit a '06 without changing the hood too? Did they only make black, red & blue in '03/'04? Thanks.
