Welcome to the site- heres some advice: If youre gonna join the Marines then dont be a grunt, especially with all of your education. I went to college for a couple years and then joined and Im working on computers now and getting all kinds of hands on training that will get me good money after I get out. If you go grunt you wont get shit out of it except some cool stories and probably some scars. With my MOS we get to work in air conditioning all the time cause the equipment we work on cant get too hot. The same money, faster promotion and a head start on future jobs

My girlfriend heard about this site and sent a link to me where it showed all kinds of personal info. It had my age, home value, a picture of my house, my credit score.... pretty much anything you can think of that you ever put on the internet anywhere. Most of the info was wrong, but its still bullshit that they can put all that info up there and say its legal. All you have to do is search for your name, go to your state and town and find your address. Once you find your info, and it will most likely be there, click on privacy on the bottom of the page and enter the URL of your info page and you can remove yourself. I just did it myself. We've been thinking and were probably gonna stay a couple days in New Orleans. San Antonio seems like a good stop to make. And Dan, Ill let you know when Im in Tucson, but Im gonna be embarrassed cause my truck will be dirty as hell from the road grime

Oh yeah I forgot to mention were gonna be leaving on May 20th, so it should be warmer. I was thinking Tuscon the first night (7hr drive), then San Antonio (14hrs) or Houston (18hrs), then New Orleans and then the coast of FL. Ive heard about the Schlitterbahn, I might try to work that into the trip if its gonna be warm enough.

Like I said, Im gonna be making a trip from Palm Springs, CA all the way to Jacksonville, FL on I-10 the whole way, yes in my SS.... Its about a 39hr drive. My girlfriend is flying out here and were gonna make the trip together. I wanna do it in about 4 days, stopping for 3 nights total. What are some good stops to make for sightseeing and crap like that? I know were gonna stop in New Orleans and Phoenix, but whats a good place to stop in Texas? Ive never made a cross country trip before so Im just trying to make a game plan. Thanks everyone
