  1. Make as big of a stink as you can. Do your homework and be the biggest pain in the ass to the company as you can. If it gets as much publicity as it may, a lawyer may step up and rep for free,...just for the props. Its BS.
  2. Everything everyone else said. I would start with a Sea Foam treatment in the Engine oil, drive it for about 100 miles then spray out the TB and intake with carb cleaner, do a Sea Foam treatment to the upper half of the engine, oil change (run 10W30 if you aren't already), plugs and wires. Take the truck in for a bench-top injector cleaning. In that order. I would then do the other oils/lubes as mentioned along with PCV, fuel and air filter. If you still are on stock breaks, nice work but do check them, and maybe bleed them with new performance fluid. Keep us posted!
  3. I will more than likely make it. Add me to the list. I don't think I will be there for all 3 days but deffinately overnight.
  4. Nice piece! I'm telling ya, with all of the guys in PA into shooting, we should all deffinately meet-up and squeeze off a few rounds somewhere.
  5. yeah that was a good time, the real men showed up even though it was raining. I recall a lot of people didnt show because their SS's might get wet!!!! But hell, things were wet the whole time, and not the trucks Deffinately worth another round All who are in this area need to come out to the next one.
  6. I personally have no concern with the load rating. I am concerned with sidewall in the 27.X tall tire in a 20" rim though. I am not sure on how you will look on the top end with respect to gearing either.
  7. I would not suggest using the seat in the front. I do not trust the electronics enough to prevent the bag from blowing in the event of a head-on. I had a bowling ball in a case on my front seat once and the airbag "auto" control didn't work, it still said airbag-off. For some reason, from that day on, I do not trust it. Safety is safety when it comes to my kids and I have the seat in the middle of the bench seat in the back. I once had it on the pass side rear but as you stated, it is a tight squeeze. There is no way the seat is going behind me.
  8. I agree, a true dual 3" set-up will hurt your performance in this case.
  9. We had a meet in Allentown PA that was,...Uhhh, fun. Wouldn't mind doing that one again. Foxy knows what I am talking about. We need to go before you leave to Az! Yea, a more advanced notice will yield a better turnout but looks like you guys had a good GTG.
  10. Did you recently wash your engine or drive through big puddles so enough water would soak your engine? IMO it sounds like you got water in the Knock sensor connections either behind the engine or on the lifter valley. If you got water under the knock sensor boots on the lifter valley, it is only a matter of time until they corrode and really kill you performance. I actually siliconed mine down when I did my radix install. Good news is that they will dry and the code won't come back unless the connections got corroded. The only other reason I see for that code is an unplugged sensor or a broke wire.

    Got my goal

Here are the rest of my slips: BTW, I have PM's from some guys that come in here from other sites as "guests" and they cannot view pictures or attachments. So if you want to view the attachments, you will need to sign up.
  12. I like the General. Just an opinion. FWIW, going to a 27.7" tire is extreme especially in a 20" rim. I use a standard all season Dunlop for the track (29.1") and have just enough gear to cross the lines at 5900RPMs. Depending on your set-up, a 27.7" tire may be too short. I have a traction problem with them as they are not drag tires, just an all season truck tire.

    Got my goal

Atco is likely one of the best tracks on the east coast for times (next to Englishtown). Forget altitude (which is about sea level) and look into DA. Yesterday's DA was -140. I have been running in DA of 500 to 1800 at a crappy track fo a long time. I chose to drive the 2 hrs for the opportunity to race at a good track. If I knew I was going to be getting times like this, I would have set-up the truck differently and gone for broke. There are times when Englishtown and Atco experience -2500 DA. Its too bad yesterday wasn't one of those days but I will take a sea level track anyday. My typical track is 550ft over sea level.

    Got my goal

Well went to Atco for the opener yesterday to do some test and tune. Ric (dounome), Timmay (ImpalaSSpeed96) form the Trailblazer SS forum were in attendance and running as well. The temps were right, averaging around 40* for the day but we had a nasty headwind that was about 20MPH. For some reason, the track prep wasn't that good either. I guess since it was the first runs of the season (there wasn't a sticky layer at the hole). I had trouble hooking my AWD beast. Anyway, I set-up the truck as I normally do for the strip (using my 255/50/16 Dunlop all seasons) with the only weight reduction being no tailgate and spare. I still had my GL Speedstur bed cover ON (100#s+), at least 50#s of crap in the back seat (laptop and accessories, pair of boots, clothes, bottle of water etc.), 1/3 tank of gas and I am not built like Pauley Shore either . I left the jack and all in there as well. I flash my tune I was working on this winter and have a go. Atco kind of sucks in that I can't drive around the water hole as I usually do so I had to shake off the water with a nice quick AWD burnout. I stage and go. I was slipping and sliding off the line but managed a 12.040 @ 111.93. I knew after that one, all I needed to do was hook. I let her cool down for a bit and did it again with my 2nd tune (a little later TCC lock-up and a tick of timing in a few cells). Again, through the water, burnout and run a 12.020 @ 111.69. So a good cool down, no change to the tune and I go again. This time, the hole is dry and I do not have to shake the water off. I stage and launch. I still spin but the truck doesn't buck as bad,...it feels good. Grab my ticket and: 11.951 @ 112.35 60ft -- 1.646 330 -- 4.839 1/8 -- 7.566 1/8 MPH -- 89.36 1000 -- 9.940 1/4 -- 11.951 1/4 MPH -- 112.35 Very happy with that. I know the truck has more in it as well. I got a bit of KR to deal with (false I believe) If we have a good day with no head wind, I take off my bed cover, jack and crap, I feel 11.75s @ 114s isn't out of the question. My timeslip: Next time, I need to bring a video camera. I did do one more run after that with some 103 Octane but only did a 12.083 @ 111.89, with my worst 60ft time of the day at 1.72 (spun off the line bad). I did the high octane fuel to see if my KR would go away but it didn't. I have every reason to believe it is false. So, what is the fastest Radix powered ECSB AWD stock displacement truck? I am very impressed with Dounome's truck. A N/A 408 running mid 12's all day long. And the best part of that is he doesn't have to worry about dropping the bottom end You can do alot of weight reduction as well (tailgate, bed cover etc.). Honestly, I am real tempted to sell my motor with the radix and do a nice stout 408. My apology for leaving before a handshake Ric. I got a call and needed to bolt. Next time we need to make it a planned event with our own section and everything, hit dinner afterwards. Also next time the TBSS needs to come! I will bring the Typhoon for kicks as well. Timmay's TBSS is running great. Any AWD TBSS that can run a 13.49 with a tune and a CAI is bad ass IMO. it was great meeting you and I look forward to other gatherings with the TBSS crowd! Maybe if I get my wife hanging around the TBSS guys, she will actually think about trading in the Venture.
  15. Ric,...keep an eye on the weather. It looks a little windy. I am not sure how they (Atco) deal with wind. I am still planning on going though. I PM'd my cell # to you.

    Money

I worked my ass off to get the salary I have now and I am enjoyn' every minute of it. If I didn't have a wife, 2 kids and sizeable mortgage,...there would be trouble.
  17. Highest HP dyno - Eric, AKA Turboberserker (just under 600 AWHP) Fastest ET - AZfastestss - very low 11's (or maybe it was Stexx at high 10's)

    Atco NJ

Yup serious. If the temp is going to be over 42* by 2PM and the weather is fair, they are open on Sundays. They just announced that Saturday will be open as well since they haven't had a Sunday open yet due to cold temps and weather. I typically go to Island Dragway which is known for bad DA and crappy track prep. Atco is not too close to me (about 1.5 hrs+) but it is one of the best tracks on the East cost, worth the trip IMO.

    Atco NJ

I know it is late notice, but the weather looks good and the track will be open. If anybody wants to go, I will be there and looks like dounome will also. There may be some TBSS guys there as well. Hopefully it will not be too crowded as this is the first day "open"
  20. Cool. I will be at Atco at gate open (9:30). I am trying to get some others to go (my brother with an Impala SS - stock, and my buddy with most likely the most HP/TQ DuraMax in the area - 11's in a CC). Also trying to see if my wife will come if I get someone to watch the kids. I hope it isn't too crowded being it the first day open for the year. I want to try some tuning tweeks and then go balls out next weekend. There will be other TBSS guys there as well (check the strip section in the TBSS forum). If my wife does go, be sure to talk to her about trading in the minivan for a TBSS I've tried but she won't budge.
  21. I have only had ASM (4 years now). Fantastic fit, no leaks, noticeable gains. My only concern is that the tranny cooling lines run extremely close to the pass side headder. The line actually touched until I carefully bent it away and cable tied them away. The coating is starting to bubble away now but I have yet to own a headder that can last 4 years and 40k+ miles without some kind of bubbling / discoloration especially with the cfm I push through them. I wish they came with 3" collectors though. All in all, fit and finish was a 10, very pleased.
