  1. Sounds like bad gas then. You could always try and throw some seafoam in the tank, or some octane booster and see if that helps. Sometimes it does. Atleast its a start.
  2. Agreed. Check to make sure your brake booster hose is firmly connected to the intake and the booster itself. Also check to see if the hose is dry rotted. Bend it around and manipulate it to see any fractures.
  3. I agree, It could be the MAF, plugs wires, cat, o2 sensors. It will eventually throw a code. Did you recently fill up with gas?? If so you could have gotten a bad batch.
  4. This is what i do since i put mine away for winter. Put it on jack stands so the tires dont get flat spots from losing air due to the weight of the truck, and having it sit all winter. Plus the cold weather will affect air pressure. Trickle charge the battery or just start it once every two weeks to operating temp, to keep the battery from going dead. If you dont have a cover for it, consider one. You dont have to have one, but it saves dust from being all over. I would also get some moth balls from the dollar store, put a few in some panty hose, and place them around the truck. Cut the panty hose into several sections place the moth balls in and tie knots in the ends so you have several bags. I would place a few bags under the hood for mice control. If you are worried about it. Just remember to remove them if you start the truck. The last thing I would do is get some stabile and putit in the gas tank. Let the truck run for a few minutes so it goes thru the fuel system. It will preserve the fuels octane, remove moisture from it sitting. It wont hurt the truck at all. I use it fro my lawn mowers at the start of winter and they start every time on the first pull. Make sure you have atleast a half tank of gas in it to prevent freezing. I know its kind of a long list, but its well worth it.

  6. This is what I would do.... Change the plugs and wires. Use electrical grease in each end of the plug boots. Get 2 cans of sea foam and dump 1 into the gas tank of 93 octane after you fill it. This will remove any moisture and help stabilize and clean the fuel system out. Use part of the second one in your brake booster vacuum line. Do this while the truck is running. Slowly pour the sea foam in the vacuum line, if you pour to fast the engine will die. So pour slowly. Use like a 1/4 of the can. Shut the truck off and let it sit for 5 minutes. Start it up, give the truck a few whaps on the gas peddle and watch it smoke. If you dont see any smoke that means there is no, or little carbon, So there is nothing to burn off. It still wont hurt anything. That will remove any carbon build up in the upper half of the motor. I bet after this you will will pass without a problem. I use sea foam this way twice a year and have with all my vehicles and never have a issue, they always run top notch,.
  7. Have you heard the starter try to engage when the new battery went in? If the starter doesnt engage, I use the old test theory. Hit it with a hammer and try to start it. If it starts, its the starter. lol Seriously I have done it before to get home.

    At the track

From what I have seen a bed cover doesnt do that much as the air just spins right at the front the bed. I have seen testing with the theory and havent seen a difference. But that wasnt at the track. It was simply a smoke test to see how air flow and a bed cover might not do anything.
  9. I second that.. How does it ride with sidewall height difference?
  10. Pics sent. If you want the tails and the third brake light as well it would $80 total. otherwise $70 for the tails
  11. I have seen some interest. Just text me and ill shoot you some pics. I know everyone is scared of me having to put my strobe lights in them. They arent what you picturing. I have been asked if they leak, No they do not. You cant even tell anything was done to them.
  12. I have a set that are brand new. They are from my 2003 SSS. The only thing is I work for the fire Department, and had to hole saw a 1 inch hole near the reverse lights on each for my strobe lights. This was done professionally so you cant notice it. Otherwise they are mint and have 21,000 miles on them, and perfectly like they should normally. $70 Plus Shipping. They are all wrapped up in bags and the box is stuffed with packing peanuts ready to ship. Let me know. I also forgot to mention I have the third brake light as well in the same packaging, that would be another $10. Everything is set on packing peanuts, all lights were bubble wrapped, baggied and then set in the one box. If you are concerned about the 1 inch holes you could always use some clear tailight tape to totally seal them off from any high pressure if thats a concern of yours. Text for pics. 847-489-1982 Mike
