  1. I also used the stock hole in the firewall by your left foot. Pul back the carpet a bit and you will see a rubber plug like said. I ran mine right there. Then I ran the cable behind the center console near the firewall and fed it thru to the passenger side. Remove the passenger kick panel and the plastic door sills. The wire will fit perfect right in the grooves then run it back all the way to the cab and behind the spare tire and your wire is totally hidden.
  2. I agree, its the Dale Earnhardt that makes the value and the spoiler that GM used. Its like finding a 2003 SSS with 4,000 miles on it and you thinking its worth $40,000 due to the miles. And its not. Once a vehicle becomes 25 years old it is considered a classic, like the old muscle cars from 60's but in this era. Then if are kept up and have lower mileage they will become worth more. But value on any vehicle will go up and down like the stock market, You buy a motorcycle in winter you get a hell of a deal. You buy one in spring or summer and people charge what they want as those will be sold. I have seen some sell for $17K to $25. but those people who ask more end up sitting on them for well over a year until that right person comes thru.Start a little higher than KBB for private seller. Leave $2,000 of wiggle room, and wait and see if someone just buys it. most likely they will make a offer. then just go off that.
  3. Yea its a handful. Honda revised the entire bike. The internals and motor are lighter. the removed the passenger seat so rear subframe is lighter. They took about 40LBS off the bike from the 15's. The SP makes more power then a normal 1000RR Repsol. It will keep the front tire off the ground until 4th the gear with just riding it.
  4. They are so comfortable to ride. The suspension and Brembo brakes are awesome. The angle you are at while riding totally changed you can ride for hours without your back and wrists hurting. They are just very expensive. My favorite color on these cars. The forest green really sparkles in the sun.
  5. I bought a 96 Z28 with 56 thousand original miles on it. Here is that one.
  6. I got a new toy with those being gone so its a win win. After my Truck accident in 2012 I had to get rid of my 2002 GSXR1000. So I got a 2016 Repsol SP.
  7. Whch one? I sold both unfortunately, the 69 was a year ago the 2000 SS was this june.
  8. Rotating and tire pressures are crucial as that will play a part in gas mileage. Grease your suspension fittings and or squeeze the boots with your hand during any oil change. If the boots are soft they need grease. only fill the boots a little at a time until firm. some grease boots will be sealed and have no fittings, those are sealed and once they start to get old, the wear on your suspension will wear quickly. Alignment check which are free at most places theses days are a good idea every 6 months. Not only for suspension wear and your tires, but for safety. This list can go on and on.
  9. This came out of my totaled trucks not a mark on it. All tabs are there, ready to just snap into place. $110 shipped with insurance. Meant to say truck. Meant to say truck.
  10. LMAO. just watch the wheels they are still worth money Here we go. seems like the old days but without all the rust talk. lol
  11. Yes the alternator fixed my issue. But I would first charge the battery. this just happened again to me about a month ago. The alternator tested god multiple times then the machine showed it was bad after the 8th time. The 145 Amp alternator will help. DR44G. Autozone is the only place that I have seen carry them.
  12. Here was the old 04 SS for those that dont remember, and the brand new 2012 Equinox that hit me.
  13. I appreciated all of them. It took along time time to recover from, Im lucky to have a wife that put up with my outbursts which was associated with the brain injury. This site and members here are not like other sites. We may be 100s or thousands of miles apart, but we help each other either way.
  14. Wanted to see if anyone wanted this. I came across it and know a lot of people went crazy over them. Its listed on Facebook Market place.
  15. It does seem like yesterday with all the group buys. Im doing great health wise, Ive fully recovered from my old accident from 2012 when I was rear ended at 50+mph. I will always have a traumatic brain injury, memory loss here and there, slurring of my words and confusion. Otherwise I found a neurologist that actually new what was going on with me. I take a handfull of pills in the am, two in the afternoon and then another handfull at night to keep me seizure free. Ive been seizure free for 3 years. Im surprised you remembered that.
  16. I have one off my wrecked truck I just pulled. Took it to remember the poor thing. Mine is in mint condition, All tabs are there so you just click it in, Have no Idea what They are selling for though. Parts are becoming a thing of the past with these trucks,
  17. I agree i wont leave the site either. Remember the days of the remote control Dale Earnhardt trucks, hats, t shirts, silverado ss key lanyards, the Bilet SS door sills, the projector lights that would shine on the ground and say SS. I have all of that minus the projector lights. Even the posters when everyone wanted them. I miss those days. I wear my T shirt still to this day with my lanyard proudly.
  18. There were a few years ago but those members havent been online here in over a year. The thing I can say as far as issues go, is the oil cooler lines that run from the front of the trucks oil cooler, to the driverside of the engine block will start to seep as the rubber breaks down. They are a PIA to replace due to all the bends the hard line has. plus the length of them. The good side is they arent expensive. Intermediate steering shaft issues, you will hear this clunk going over a bump etc and feel it it thru the steering wheel. alot of other GM vehicles have that same issue. GM parts direct sells them and give a lifetime warranty. Already replaced mine twice thru them. Otherwise as long as you keep up with fluid changes like front diff, transfer case, rear diff, trans fluid and filter, your good.
  19. Yea there used to be build threads all the time, SSS's for sale all over. now nothing. I was suprised how dead it got. We used to have well over 200 people on at certain times. It was hard to keep up and give advice.
